Work out what you owe HMRC with our eBay tax calculator. When you sell on eBay, whether that’s your own products that you’ve made or bought, or your own used items, you might have tax to pay on your profits. It all depends how much you earn. As a general rule, when you earn over £1,000 profit from eBay selling, you have to file a tax return. This basically means that you complete an online process to disclose what you’ve earned during the tax year. This can be from eBay, employment, and you also declare any allowances you’ve claimed.
You do this to let HMRC know that you’ve earned untaxed income that they need to tax you on by the tax return deadline. This deadline is 31st January of any given year. For more information on how the taxing period works, check out our blog: What is the tax year?
It’s really easy to use. Just follow these steps and we’ll calculate the approximate tax you’ll owe HMRC.
And that’s it! We’ll calculate what you owe based on the information you give us so make sure it’s as accurate as you can make it. If you do need to file a tax return, or if you just want some tax advice from us, don’t hesitate to get in touch!
