In corporate speak they would say that in this role you'll be responsible for the entire growth function at TaxScouts end to end. You'll be in charge of our user acquisition and brand strategy and make sure of it's execution. You'll also own it's P&L and will be responsible for managing and developing our marketing team as a whole.


What it means in reality is that you'll be working directly with the founders and make sure that TaxScouts will cut through from the boring buzz of UK start-up's and will establish itself as an unquestionable category leader in personal tax space. First in UK and then in Europe.

 

This is a rare opportunity to disrupt one of the most stale industries in the world and build up a consumer brand that is solving a genuine problem for hundreds of millions of people. Most importantly you would be doing it on the back of an excellent product that people genuinely love (our Trustpilot rating of 4.9 is legit) and in a fast growing business that is funded by some of the leading European VC's.

Responsibilities

 

  • Own our overall growth strategy and branding end to end - develop it into our marketing plan and be responsible for it's execution
  • Scale and develop all our existing user acquisition channels - product marketing, SEO, social, paid search, word of mouth, ATL, partnerships, PR  
  • Hands on day-to-day responsibility for all marketing activities as well as the leadership - accountability for all elements of user acquisition, retention, content marketing and creative
  • Responsible for identifying and validating new user acquisition strategies and ways to build our brand awareness and making them happen
  • Hire, manage and coach a world class team
  • Own the core metrics of user acquisition and retention

 

Your profile

 

  • Tons of experience in a role managing multi-channel marketing campaigns in consumer facing products
  • You thrive in challenging and high growth environment that is constantly changing
  • Strong consumer marketing background, ideally you've scaled consumer brands from scratch before in low frequency engagement products
  • Creative and effective at managing the opposing dynamics of user acquisition and budget
  • Analytical and financially literate - comfortable with managing the financial planning side of marketing
  • Experienced in developing team across multiple disciplines of marketing - built and and nurtured great teams where people thrive
  • Ideally you have either been founder of your own business or have worked in a consumer facing start-up before
